Random Life (Pandemic Fatigue ) Fatigued Feeling Rather Dystopian Darling !

How is your pandemic going? Do you watch old movies and lament for the days when you could go out and about without thinking of the timing. This weekend pandemic fatigue hit me a bit hard. Prior to the new variant de jour. We got hit with about a foot of snow, which I went out for a nice long walk in. I keep thinking about all the strife in the world. Thinking of the people in the Ukraine who are fighting to keep their freedom. It seems a world away, yet too close for comfort. How polarized America has been would we be able to pull it together if something like this happened to us? Then I realize that this is getting a bit too deep decide to turn my thoughts into more upbeat topics. 

Duran Duran has been nominated for the 2022 Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, I've been voting almost every day. Yes, we did a PTB style review, which I feel a bit cringy about. Sometimes my beauties mama gets an idea it's a tad bit over the top. I shall just leave it for it's not the weirdest post on this blog. We pride ourselves on being a bit " unique" If I ever meet Duran Duran I'll just own my uniqueness and pray that I've passed under the radar.

Even though yours truly did venture into the world of the crop top, which has left me feeling a tad embolden. Life is short own your uniqueness even if you are thick like me wear that crop top. Some of you daredevils travel and such. I'm an immune-compromised set, not the jet set. My chronic illness decided to flare a couple months back, finally has decided to give myself a break. I'm sure happy to be feeling healthy again. Well, it's been nice catching up with all of you doing our best in this dystopian world.

     What do you like to do on a day off? Decided to go to Aldi and get Salmon, spinach, and bone broth.  I stuck to my list except for a small Christmas Cactus. Then made a pit stop at Kohls, where I purchased some Lauren Conrad earrings  ( $8.00). I lost my hoops. My ears have felt nude. When arriving home, I put my recycling away then ate a salad.  I'm feeling better and recovering from an autoimmune flare. Finished my report on Abraham Lincoln, then  cleaned my home. My apartment required a soul purging clean. 

I listened to the Duran Duran mix I made on Spotify while obsessively cleaning. This is very therapeutic for me!  Sometimes a clean house puts the world in perspective. It's going to be warm here this week in New England. If you are new to the blog, my readers always liked these random life posts.

Brace Yourself ... Behold the Bixie ( Winter Hair Trend 2021 ) Blogmas Day 3

 Are they growing out pixies? 

 

So this winter a magical haircut called the "Bixie" is coming to your town. Guess who has one?  I'll give you a minute... your very own Pop Trash Beauty ( Tracey)! Yes, I have a Bixie!

 Even better I didn't know it was a thing? I'm growing out my pixie. My stylist gave me some highlights at last week's visit and updated my haircut! What is a "Bixie" you ask? This morning while reading POP SUGAR   just happened upon an article about the "Bixie " They explained it as being a cross between a bob and pixie.  So wonder how many Bixies you spot this winter. I decided to share my hair evolution with all of you. You'll love the last photo, being an overachiever. I not only gave myself a Quarantine haircut but also ended up trying to trim it. So I had a mohawk / Pixie so is that a Mowixie? 

This is a Bixie! 

                      

My hair fell out due to medication in 2017, so I had to pixie my hair.

                             The hair grew back, it's really weird growing out a pixie. 

                                One day you love it, the next your looking for a hat or wig.

 

I used large head wraps to disguise the uneven growth.
 I looked very Austenite in this photo.

Duran Duran "Future Past " 2021 Empathic Review

    Duran Duran has released a new album, they celebrate 40 years together. What do you get a band for their 40th Anniversary? Rubies are the traditional wedding anniversary gift. Let's keep it affordable! Duran Duran loves their couture, yet I've got to pay my light bill!  How much do ruby slippers cost? Leave any ideas in the comments. 

   Duran has been well respected in the music industry, iconic innovator. Looking over their discography, peering into a pure evolution of their genius. Build a metaphorical road built bricks of grit, determination, delights of the skin, intertwined with quite human raw emotion. Splashed with beautiful colors that illuminate the way down a road into a future. If you are new to this band, check out Spotify,  RIO is a good starter, compare and contrast with Pop Trash Movie, I strongly encourage you to try some Arcadia as well for extra texture( Honestly, I've been writing too many summaries for my English class if I get a bit carried away )  

 Who couldn't resist the fashionable, art-centric, and devilishly handsome group of British lads from Birmingham, UK? Certainly not me, that's for sure.  Digression aside, shall we talk about this album.

 Album is 12 tracks 51. minutes 4 seconds, I will not go over every track for journeys of the musical should be done by the listener, I'll pull my top 3 tracks that grabbed my ears in all the right way! 

Track.6  Beautiful Lies:  This song is lyrically beautiful, adding the synth-pop feel of it all. This song gave me goosebumps. There is a poetic ethereal mood that embodies all the notes. Please play this one live for it will be a sway worthy track. 

Track.2  All of You: When this track starts, you hear the bass welcome you in, its an upbeat, hopeful track with every bit of the Duran recipe pulling you through the track. 

Track. 5 Future Past: This track is a sing-out loud track out loud. Simon Lebon's vocal range is absolutely outstanding! When I'm painting, it gets me in a zone. 

In conclusion, this album makes me feel a dash of pure, unfettered happiness with a pinch of unrequited love of someone elusive yet defiantly beautiful. Why would anyone elude Duran Duran? In the same token, there are some moody tracks, or as I call it, ethereal ear candy for the soul. The synth is strong in this one, surely lovey on every level.

 Dearest Beauties it has been a hot minute since we were together, YouTubers do "vlogmas" so we will do blogmas. Our friends from Duran Duran dropped a new album last month. My thoughts will be in the next post, I hate writing music reviews. Hate is a strong word, perhaps I don't feel proficient in the music lexicon. Though for you my dearest friends, I'll battle through imposter syndrome to produce a review. I'm writing to you from under my duvet, hiding from the world. Wondering if the coffee in my kitchen could teleport its self to my nightstand. It's been a long week, I'm back in college finally finishing my degree. My Ulcerative Colitis is flaring it's nasty, to say the least. I'm working trying to keep afloat, and no one seems to understand that maybe I don't have time. The word "no" is never really well received.  It's time to pull off the Duvet and face the world. Well, that took a turn in a direction no one anticipated, one being me. I'll be listening to the album this weekend to give you my review. This is going to be a slice of happiness headed my way. Seems no one uses "blogger " except me.  Let's leave the duvet in our dust, there is a big beautiful world out there.
