My Mother's Leopard Scarf Intervention

While taking a walk with my mom , we both need it for our physical therapy. She looked at me with motherly concern and said , How long you had that leopard scarf ? I've had it about 3 years , I think you should change it up dear. When I go on your Facebook your in allot of pictures with it. You have so many beautiful scarfs why don't you switch it up. I felt like we were having a Carrie Fisher / Debbie Reynolds type of interaction. I really wasn't feeling that great with sass , I replied to her no one cares but you. She continued you don't even match ? " Mom its 2018 no one matches "

  She has a point there are more photos , avid readers of this blog will probably find more. I guess at some point you just have to realize that your mother might be right. Even that you are 43 and know everything. I agreed to retire my dear scarf for a bit . I thought I was the scarf like Kate Middleton's Jeans     What is your most photographed article of clothing ?

Edith Head dressed some of Hollywood’s iconic screen legends.  She would garner 8 academy awards for the for costume design the most won by any women. She was known for her trademark bangs and glasses. Her innovative designs were way beyond her time. Anytime I've fallen in love with a dress from a classic movie. I will find out Edith Head designed the frock.

So as we watch the Red Carpet Parade on Sunday. We can think of our friend Edith Head. I also have an oscar prediction.  There will be allot of fresh faces with bold lips. I could be wrong just got a feeling. I also think the Black Swan will dominate. So what film do you watch just for the clothes ?

Oscars In My Pink Jammies

I used to love award shows as a child. It was usually a night , I got to stay up late on a school night.I'd never make it through , remember we'd have special snacks and all that jazz. So tonight I stayed up late got a special snack and watched the oscars in my jammies . I can't say that there is a best and worst dressed . I think it takes guts to take risks . So people may have made mistakes. They win just in the fact they can go to the oscars . Id like to say it was a blessing to see so many shapes and sizes out there . There were curves and real women bodies .


 I tweeted through the whole thing with my "no frills oscar coverage "  Now I find myself very tired and dreading how fast my cell phone alarm will chime in . I havent in a long time allowed myself to get swept up in all the award show hype. I did get a little bit of that dreamy haze for part of the show. Allowing myself to kinda get swept up in movie magic. I think in a world where we know way too much about celebrities lives it was nice to experience the mystery. Somtimes when you reach a certian age you think, you arent allowed too have dreams any longer . It was nice to see some peoples dreams come true tonight it gives you hope , So thats a wrap indepth blog tommorow. ( picture of me , in La La Land for a avante guard makeup class )
