You asked for a playlist. So I sat under the stars and came up with this rotation. I hope you dig some new names , some ever true. My gift to all of you ... ( This could have been longer so it just means we have to do more playlists )

Ten Guilty Pleasures

I was talking to an old friend today. We got on the topic of guilty pleasures as in television shows , bands , and clothing. Yes the things that your friends and family tease you about. Some we even keep to ourselves would cringe if ever revealed. This week because I've got the affliction of blog block we are going to post about the seven deadly sins.  Starting with Ten Guilty Pleasures I have to say mine are boring. Im not very exciting maybe borderline lame by some standards. Tell me some of your guilty pleasures do we share some?

 1. Reality Television ( Is it really reality television anymore ? I think its scripted )

The Only Way is Essex
My boyfriend is not a big TOWIE fan though I am. I say you can love your wrestling and I'll love TOWIE/ I have no idea how to explain it but I just love it . Last summer I discovered this living British soap opera on Hulu. Being out of work depressed needed some kind of life. Needing escapism from the stress so I found it in The Only Way is Essex. I will be honest when I watched the first episode I thought this is so mad cheesy why am I watching it. Three days later after binge watching 4 seasons of this show. I wanted more episodes so did my other fellow Hulu viewers. The comments section was loaded with all of us begging them for the additional seasons. My boyfriend lives in England so he told me to go on the ITV site and watch from there yet there site is blocked in America. Eventually Hulu gave us new seasons I'm happy to report on a regular basis. This is my guilty pleasure for sure. My other reality television vices are Duck Dynasty, Sister Wives and Americas Next Top Model ( I was on Honey Boo Boo Child kick but I was able to quit )

2. Candy
I am supposed to be on a sugar , gluten , dairy , meat free life style yet sugar will bring me to my knees. Right now I am battling the Easter candy wars. Twizzlers have been a favorite for years . I have gotten better with the candy but somehow I give in from time to time I dabble. ( Even though I feel bloated and disgusting its worth it)

3. Head Bands
Yes there is nothing wrong with headbands. I have what they call a 4 finger forehead in the modeling industry.  ( This is the only desirable modeling industry quality I have ) Which is good in those circles yet in real life its kinda like the fun house mirror look. I look horrible in headbands though I love love love them. My favorite look is my hair in a high bun with a headband. What I love about them is that they keep the fly aways and wispys out of my face. They do nothing for my face but make my head look big and egg like. Yet I cant stop wearing and buying.

4 . John Hughes Movies
This is a guilty pleasure indeed that I will have for the rest of my natural life. I always wanted to be Andie in Pretty in Pink though I totally would have married Duckie in the end.

5. Katy Perry
I am a very eclectic music fan. I collect vinyl most of my friends are die hard music snobs. Some of them write for music magazines. So my love of Katy Perry is not very popular among them. Though I cant help myself I just dig her music , style , attitude.

6. Coffee
I am a coffee snob blame it on my Swedish heritage or a trip to Seattle at 16 when I was introduced to cappuccino. Coffee has become a part of my identity .

7. Pabst Blue Ribbon
I love this beer no matter what city your in its cheap. I also just love the taste . Yes its Hipster beer though I don't care I love it .( I drink about once a year or when Duran Duran is on tour )

8 . Fluffernutter
This is a New England favorite by far peanut butter and marshmallow fluff in a sandwich. In the winter I usually have one . Brings back happy childhood memories.

9. Yoga Pants
I wear them entirely too much out of the gym. I just love them I just like being comfy when Im running errands though I have been not partaking as much.

10.Cats
I own one big spoiled tabby cat . I love cat people , clothes , youtubes I am all about the cat culture . On a sad day I'm one of those schmucks watching wacky cat videos on youtube. Im so thrilled the cat culture is so mainstream. Cat Ladies are considered chic . ( In my universe they are chic as hell )

Bubble Gum Pop

I often write about reoccurring themes in my life. This week its bubble gum brought on my a recent purchase of Revlon's scented nail polish. I had to try it after Nora from Botoxey tweeted about the peach version she bought . I mean seems like fruity nail polish has Pop Trash Beauty written all over it . So I decided to do a whole post featuring Bubble Gum.

Do you know why gum is pink? The color of the first successful bubble gum was pink because it was the only color the inventor had left. The color "Stuck" and today bubble gum is still mostly pink.

Some cool facts about gum from the past. Ancient Greeks chewed a gum like substance called mastic. Women especially liked gum because it cleaned their teeth and it exercised their jaw muscles.

Bubble Gum Pop

Genre of pop music popular in the sixties and seventies . Most of these groups were one hit wonders were manufactured in the studio. The Monkees , Brady Bunch , The Royal Guards man , Ohio Express , The Lemon Pipers , The Cuff Links . This genre died down in the later 70's due to the emergence of Disco and Punk Rock moving in to the culture. Modern day examples of bubblegum pop are Katy Perry, NSYNC , New Kids on the Block, Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez, BrittanySpears ( when she first started )

Three Guess why I picked The Cuff Links hit Tracy

I love this video !

Revlons Scented Nail Polish ( Bubblegum 409 )

Thanks to Nora at Botoxey I caught a craving for scented nail polish.  I first purchased the Raspberry Rapture which was fruity and Fun. Then went back for Bubblegum Pink . These polishes are fun fast drying and have a pleasant smell even after drying. It reminded me of the my dew kisses bubble gum scented lip roll on from the late 80's . Its worth a try funky, Fun & Fruity . ( I call this Duranish pink ) .

While I'm blaming people Makeup Majesty is responsible for my glitter gloss addiction. There are so many of you that inspire me to push on . I hope to highlight all of you in future posts. I'm lucky to belong to a kick arse blogging community.

I thought Id leave you with a little Boston grown Bubblegum pop. Just to tell my PTB readers " You got it ! ( The Right Stuff )" . Well yeah this a bubble gum post had to be a tad cheesy . So whats you're favorite bubblegum pop group ?  Favorite Bubble gum ?

Andy Warhol's Turtleneck For Sale

Once again Coco Perez has inspired a blog post. Andy Warhols turtleneck. The Halston Casmere turtleneck has a price tag close to the 15,000 dollar range.( of course its Halston )  Seems to raise the question where would one wear Andy Warhols turtleneck ?  I know it wont be worn just being funny. So if your in the market for such a piece of pop art  history go to Paul Fraser Collectibles

via Paul Fraser Collectibles

At a vintage store a black cashmere Halston turtleneck not worn by an art icon would go for 50.00-200.00 depending on condition. My friend who is a collector of oodles of vintage did a guesstimating for me.

This whole post got me thinking. We have a culture of  restaurant chains and some museum's are built on celebrity artifacts. If they show it we will come. Every time a person of note posts a twit pic. Seriously who hasn't hastily clicked on a twit pic of some celeb's half eaten food. *raises hand* love to say. I'm above it but not so lucky. I clicked on a Picture of Donnie Wahlberg pumping gas the other day.Just to kinda hit home the fact we love pop culture. Our fascination with the artists who generate it . Is something that has been around forever. With tech being fused into our lives it only intensifies this fascination. So will Andy Warhols turtleneck sell?Absolutely it will and quickly. I would love to see Warhols turtleneck make one last red carpet appearance. On a person who is vibrant and full of life. Someone Andy would have entertianed at the factory. Then it can be put in acid free paper or perhaps on exhibit at the Warhol Museum in Pittsburg. So I leave you with a kind of funny comparison. Thanks to the 30 people who thought my coffee was facinating . The Katy Perry pic does look a little pop art like actually.
