“ Call the Midwife,
based on the best-selling memoirs of the late Jennifer Worth, tells colorful
stories of midwifery and families in London’s East End.”
“Full of zesty humor,
great characters and glorious dialogue, it’s about timeless love in a very
modern setting. Childhood sweethearts Alan and Celia, both widowed and in their
70s, fall for each other all over again when they are reunited on the internet
after nearly 60 years “
Detectives and crime lab technicians use the latest and most
fascinating procedures to solve crimes in this documentary-style show.
Set in Seattle,
Washington, the series follows the various murder investigations by homicide
detectives Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos) and Stephen Holder (Joel Kinnaman)
Wentworth could be a substitute for all the Orange is the New Black fans waiting for the
new season. “The series is set in the
modern day and centers on Bea Smith's (Danielle Cormack) early days in prison.
Wentworth is filmed on a purpose built set in the suburb of Clayton. It has
received a mostly positive reception from critics and the first episode became
the most watched Australian drama series premiere in Foxtel history.”
