How to Care your Vintage Handbag
Clean the interior of the bag by removing small particles of dirt with a lint or fabric brush. Wipe the interior of the bag with a damp cloth.
- Add a small amount of silver or brass polisher to a piece of cloth and lightly polish your purse's hardware. Remove excess polish and buff clean.
- You can use a lint brush on bags with a velvet finish
- Rub zippers with beeswax to keep them running smoothly and easily up the zipper track. Apply a small amount of WD-40 to a rusted zipper to remove rust.

Also when your not using the bag make sure to keep it in a dry moisture free area out of the sun. I get cedar blocks to put in mine also as good mouth prevention. I think cedar is nicer then moth balls. All of the bags you have will have a light mildew smell depending on how they were kept. Vintage is over 20 years old. The cedar helps eliminate that musty smell.
