In September something special is happening at Target the world famous House of Missoni will do a line for Target. With a price point we all can afford. This is your chance to own a piece of fashion history. Thanks to the folks at Target we got a sneak peak. If your not familar with Missoni wondering what all the fuss is about . I will give you a little background into the House of Missoni . Give you a look at there line for Target. Ive asked some of our Blogging friends to pick a piece from the line and give there input in a future post.
The House of Missoni This fashion story is a love story. A dashing Olympic runner who happened to own a small knitwear company. Designing track suits for the Italian Olympic track team. His name is Ottavio Missoni . A beautiful Italian women who worked in her families embroidery shop. Her name is Rosita . They meet in London fell in love got married. Set out to form the house of Missoni. The Missoni's developed a brightly colored zig zag knit pattern. That would become there signature. They were over looked in the beginning with hard work and devotion. They were soon noticed by a notable fashion writer in the 1960s. That started a chain reaction that would take there unique knitware global. Missoni is a family run business they live close to the factory. Angela Missoni there daughter is taking the Missoni name into the future. With her vision and creativity is ensuring the future of this line. Angela's daughter Margarita has become the face of Missoni . Over three generations back this brand home spun out of love and hard work . So now the moment we have been waiting for your first look at Missoni for Target . Ranging in price from 2.99 to 599.99 most items will be in the 40.00 usd range. The line will be available Sept. 13 through Oct. 22, 2011 at all Target stores and Target.com. Pending availability, select pieces from the collection, including a variety of online-only items, will be available for an extended run through early December at Target.com. The grandchildren are managing to rake in $$$ in a new way .. a long way from the hills of Sumirago. I have such mixed feelings about fast fashion but this is such a rounded deal, 500 pieces with housewares, fashion, accessories. Target seems to want this one to be The One and they are making good big moves.
