There is a new trend of men in high heels which we will discuss later in this post. I think one movement that even the " GI Joe is not a doll , but and action figure " faction can get behind is the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes movement. For over ten years this organization has been raising awareness in the sexualized abuse of women. Men strap on there heels and proudly march for the women they love. I applaud these gentleman for supporting such a worthy cause. Here is a little bit about there mission though I encourage you to surf there website. Perhaps some of our male readers might walk.
Sexualized violence does not just affect women. It affects the men who care about them, their families, their friends, their coworkers, and their communities. Sexualized violence is epidemic. Some of the statistics: Every two minutes someone in America is raped. One in six American women are victims of sexual assault. That means someone you know, someone you care about, has been or may become the victim of sexual violence. It may be your mother, your sister, your friend, your girlfriend, your wife, your coworker, or your daughter. (via Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Website)

Is this really new Prince has been doing it for years. I believe all through history this has been a trend that has come and gone. Actually this trend could go mainstream with many influential lines taking notice. Well guys if you want to try this out we will help you walk in these shoes. Want to see this trend in action watch the video of a fashion show where the male models are working the runway in heels. Is is a little bad that I find it a smidgen gratifying to see them struggle down the runway. If you are going to participate in this trend why do you break in your heels at a Walk a Mile in Her Shoes walk
ah, Rick Owens has been wearing 6" cowboy boots forever ... a beneficial queen.
ReplyDeleteI love that men can make this a macho event, competition.
I hate that anyone stays in a mad relationship with this danger. MUST see the lovely Farrah Fawcett's award winning Burning Bed.
I once was with someone and ended it with a black eye and terror. DON'T STAY if you're being abused. Man up and get out.
Thank you.
