Global Beauty : RIO+20 United Nations Conference

This is very important my beauties , earlier this month we did a post .  Where you were able to pledge your support for your earth. So I wanted explain to you why this is so very important.  Why should you care ? " Isn't it just a bunch of hippie tree luggers getting together to bitch about the earth. " or " There isn't even a problem the earth takes care of itself" . I've heard both of these arguments. The earth has enormous regeneration capabilities this is true. Accelerated industrialization has lead to a decline in the health of our earth. What would happen if you decided to not clean and maintain your home?  You would adapt in the beginning wading through trash. Maybe a nail or two to secure a loose board. Then over time you wouldn't be able to move , your roof would cave in from disrepair. Then you'd move to another house and start over. The earth is our home we can't move anywhere else. Last time I checked they haven't built on Mars just yet. So you understand why maintaining your earth home is just as important as your domestic home. Lets talk a little about RIO + 20 this is taken from the official website.

"Twenty years ago, the UN Earth Summit brought together 172 governments and thousands of representatives from the NGO community to put a stop to what was regarded as a cycle of decline in development. It was recognized that nothing short of a transformation of our attitude and behaviour would bring about the changes that were urgently needed in order to protect the planet from the effects of both poverty and over-consumption.

Now, in June 2012, we return to Rio with new hope of real political commitment for a new way of thinking about our future and the planet. The expressed aim of the conference is to identify the main gaps in the implementation of the outcomes of the previous major summits on sustainable development, and to address the new and emerging challenges we face now.

It is with this last point - the addressing of the new and emerging challenges - that we need your help by not only tweeting but adding your issue area under Step 2 of the website! We want to take the issues that you consider important as volunteers and make them heard by those formulating agreements in Rio. It is our hope that the voice of the volunteer can impact the decisions of those holding the pens in Rio. So speak up, your opinion matters!" 

This is is your chance to be heard I know you have voice its time to use it . This is a call from our global brothers and sisters to raise up. Its not about boundaries or political affiliations put them aside. This is about protecting your home for our future generations. I urge you to send the word out via Twitter, Facebook , Tumblr . While your telling folks about your brand new sassy shoes put out  a post about RIO +  . I'm not saying every other tweet just when your feed is slow.
