Doggie Botox ( Pet Body Image)

Ever have one of those weeks where you just kinda float through life. Nothing exciting going on you're just living day to day. Then you hear about dogs getting botox it is now confirmed that the world has gone a little mad. There is a Dr. Bitto in Brazil preforming face lifts, wrinkle reduction, nose jobs. I understand in some breeds like bull dogs it can add years to there lives. People saying that if a dog has had "work" done. Then it shouldn't be allowed to compete in a Dog Show. Imagine if humans had that rule you can't be Miss America if you aren't 100% natural. Wow it would make it interesting for sure.

So now in this beauty obsessed culture we are putting pressure on our pets. Wasn't it a couple years ago people were on waiting list for those ugly dogs? I will post the article an some quotes from the famed Dr.Bitto who is making Brazilian pups beautiful. ( When I first heard this topic. I thought it was a piece for the Onion) . I will admit I've been to some puppy Birthday parties. Usually an excuse for people to get together. What's next puppy botox parties?
Is Tonka feeling a little long in the Jowls?
"Beauty is desirable. We all like talking to someone who looks good and smells nice. It's the same with dogs."  Dr. Bitto
My Nephew Laz isn't to concerned with the pressure to be beautiful.

"It's perfectly reasonable to use simple surgery to make a dog beautiful,"  Dr. Bitto

Ha ! Dogs

  4. Oh dear, don't laugh. My English bulldog was neglected and badly used for breeding. When she was rescued they spayed her but did nothing with all that saggy skin and if I'd known, I would have had the vet do a little prettying down there. As it is, her loose skin flaps as she waddles. Didn't get done alas.
