The White Feather Foundation

Julian Lennon Musician/ Photographer
Founder of The White Feather Foundation

The White feather Foundation was founded by Julian Lennon in 2009 . I’ve taken an excerpt from the website explaining about how the name of the foundation came to be

Julian has been focusing on ways that we can all make a difference in what has become a rather sensitively-balanced world.Symbolically, a white feather has personal meaning for Julian and therefore it became a natural name for his new Foundation – The White Feather Foundation.

“Dad once said to me that should he pass away, if there was some way of letting me know he was going to be ok - that we were all going to be ok - the message would come to me in the form of a white feather. Then something happened to me about ten years ago when I was on tour in Australia. I was presented with a white feather by an Aboriginal tribal elder, which definitely took my breath away. One thing for sure is that the white feather has always represented peace to me.”  Julian Lennon via whitefeatherfoundaion.com

So what does  The White Feather Foundation do ?

They act on behalf of environmental and humanitarian organizations. Providing them with funding to proceed in doing the good works. These organizations run the spectrum so when you give to WFF your money is being spread out  into  variety of Organizations. I decided to show you two of these charities that WFF helps .

The Children of New Hope  via changesfornewhope.org

Changes for New Hope  was founded by Jim Killion who gave all of his life savings to help the children of  the Andes.  With an open heart of a true humanitarian he set forth to improve life for these children focusing on these areas  in recent days branched out

“    Lacking in everything from a decent place to live, food on a daily basis, healthcare and emotional support, Changes for New Hope began the long challenging process of connecting with the indigenous families, learning what they needed most, and focused on the most vunerable and destitute children. Teaching self esteem, values, English, art projects, inter-personal and communication, the project was underway.”  Via WFF

There good works caught the attention of the White Feather Foundation . Who proceeded to  fund many programs that helped broaden the scope of Changes for New Hope . Enriching the lives of the indigenous children of peru ensuring a brighter hopeful future.  To see more about  Changes for New Hope  visit them

Bees Action Network

"BAN believes that bees are suffering, like humans, from agrichemical overload, modern monoculture farming, GM crops and even mobile phone masts which interfere with the bees homing ability. This results in a depressed bee immunity and malnutrition is the result. These findings are backed up by the U.N. Environmental Programme report into the global dangers facing honey bees."

How can I give to WFF  ?

One thing most charities will tell you . If you cant donate spreading the word is so very important . WFF  has made it easy and cost effective to give. The t-shirt is extremely comfortable , high quality , doesn't shrink . I get this from Julian Lennon's very own fans . For your donation of 20 £   you get this stylish t-shirt . It comes in black or White . I even have a model . Maggie Bridges is a big supporter of WFF all of its good works . She raves about the t-shirt which got me to order one.  Many of Lennon's fan's take to social media to spread the word about WFF

"Well he said in an interview once he formed WFF to help give a voice to all the small causes that are normally forgotten and for some reason I related to it as how many voices are forgotten in life ignored unless already on a greater scale. Hope it makes sense to you so the Tshirts for me represent a great way to help all who cannot help themselves  "
