Fashion Weeks Geeks Eating Macarons

I am really sad about the state of street style. Its not even real anymore its all the people that the beauty magazines would have put in anyway. The major sites used to cover real people all over the world going about there day. I would spend hours on these sites drinking in the artistic aspect of this first of all that is where fashion is born on the street.  I liken it to when your favorite band goes mainstream you still love them. Though the raw aspect kinda dies. I haven't covered a fashion week in a long time.

We will talk about New York in this post for I will tell you. I actually was officially blown away the future has arrived indeed. Something happened out of the blue that made my geek heart beat a little faster. Rodarte incorporated Star Wars in there line. This is amazing on so many levels they put geek and chic in a blender watch this video to see the result.

Yes my geek friends and I had a proper geek out about this line. This fall we will talk about this happy geek fashion marriage.

The fashion world is in love with macrons I have to say every fashionista has some picture of macarons on there instagram pages.

macaron (/mɑːkɑːrɔːn/ mah-kah-rōn;[1] French pronunciation: [makaˈʁɔ̃][2]) is a sweet meringue-based confection made with eggsicing sugargranulated sugaralmond powder or ground almond, and food colouring. It is also called Luxemburgerli.[3] The macaron is commonly filled with ganachebuttercream or jam filling sandwiched between two biscuits.  ( via Wiki Pedia )

Now that we have learned about the cookie of the rich & beautiful . I forecast that this little confection shall overthrow the cupcake soon enough. There is even a food truck in Boston dedicated to the macaron. There are macaron food trucks in a city near you ask google.

Fashion designer Kenley Collins has based some of her designs on the confection. She isn't the only one in the fashion word to be inspired by this sweet treat . Many of the fashion blogeratti can't get enough of them . Who can blame everyone there french come in very pretty colors. They are a bit pricey a half a dozen will run you about 13.00 usd. Though they are worth a try make sure you take a picture of them and plaster them all over social media.  I totally will do it just like I did with my first Pinkberry

Painting Purses Drinking Coffee

I decided to actually read all 700 posts to this blog. My life has really changed since I started Pop Trash Beauty. I was a makeup artist when I started out. Now I started my own business painting bags. I take old handbags paint them make minor repairs and sell them on etsy Pop Chic Boutique. When I started my Etsy shop it was exclusively Vintage bags I sold. Then I was thinking when I get tired of an old hand bag I would do something to it jazz it up if you will.  My friend Corrine when I was coming up with the concept of the shop said " Every bag has a Story"  This resonated inside of me they truly do. When you buy tons of vintage like I do you wonder about the story . Who was the person who owned this item before me. I have a sweater that just makes me happy. There is no Rhyme or reason I just love it to bits. Its teal blue I think the former owner must have been really happy and sweet.

This is a purse I named Maisy she came to me worse for wear

Filling in the cracks with Mod podge and love

More Mod Podge

Rough Cut Abstract Floral
Still needs more love but her makeover is moving along

This is the first purse I painted. I don't think the mainstream world
is ready for my all seeing eye surrealist purse. So I use it people ask me about it .
You have to garner a little courage to carry this one but its worth it

Painting Purses Addicted to Instagram ( Random Blog Post )

I have been painting purses like a women on a mission. Actually am on a mission of epic proportions. I write this blog post at 3:30 am. My cat Bubba is singing to me he is upset I'm up or there is a whole in his dish what ever cat problems are plaguing him. I've been following fashion week street style. I remember when street style was underground. Now its mainstream which is cool but indeed for a lack of a better word sucks. I liken it to when a band you have loved for years gets signed goes mainstream. The core of what you love remains about them yet its not raw anymore. Humans of New York seems to encapsulate that raw real people flow. They do some street style yet its more about the people. Inspiration for me comes from real people.  I am addicted to instagram on so many levels. I had an outdated phone for years so I was unable to partake in the instagram now its like when I first came on twitter. I'm making friends and learning so many interesting things. Finding so many interesting bloggers.

Here are some of my favorite instagram posts of the past week

These are the purses I'm working on at present
