Morning Makeup Makeover ( Getting Out of a Rut )

   I have been in a morning rut taking the option to sleep rather than do full makeup in the morning. At times like this I'm greatful that I participated in No Makeup Mondays . I was wondering why this basic morning task had become so overwelhming for me. I didnt have to go very far to find out why? Like my purse my makeup bag had beacome a demented game of I spy. Coupled with jet lag an things going on my life that havent let me slow down. I am to be simply put in a rut.

Makeup Bag Explosion

So I decided that I needed to find some kind of order in this ciaos. I wanted to invent a morning routine that was simple basic an could be done while the coffee was perking. My old one was just too much . Here is a picture of me using serveral types of concealer. I was making this harder on myself than it had to be.

The Product's

You don't have to use the same product this is just an example. Rest assured I get no freebies doing this blog. See we do the pop culture , music thing too. So makeup companies aren't that eager to hand over the free stuff. I'm not promoting anyone this is just what I use.

Eye Shadow :  Tokidoki Cromatico Eyeshadow Palette - Bastardino

This quad has what I need the basics with a hit of sparkle. Yet it is appropriate for work .

Eyeliner : 1 liquid liner , 1 creamy eyeliner pencil

Concealer :Boots No. 7 calming eye concealer  I use my concealer as my eyeshadow base also.

Mascara :Estee Lauder  Lash Primer Plus & Double Wear

Foundation: 1 Daywear Moisture Tint . Using your foundation blended with moisturizer will do the same thing.

Powder : Use loose powder to set it an forget it .

Lips : Lip liner  , Stilla Lip Glaze : Kitten

Brushes: Large Blush, Concealer, med eye, large eye, eyeliner brush, With the exception of the eyeliner all my brushes are Estee Lauder . Eyeliner brush is Debra Macki's my makeup teacher .

I posted a youtube makeup tutorial's to show you how to build the eye. The Makeup Geek is one of my favorites. She is friendly an great for beginners. This eyeliner tutorial is excellent .

 This is what I came up with with practice you can get everyday makeup application down to about 10 minutes. Let's hope this breaks me out of my rut. Hopefully this was helpful I forget some of you are just getting into makeup. I was a late bloomer too so I understand how it is all a bit much. Pictures In My Mind ( Pike Place Market )

As a kid I was restrained to take the normal vacation snaps that most of use have. Tracey go stand by the fiber glass chicken . Or when we went to Disney World I can't even tell you how many palm trees my mum made me pose in front of. " Hunny get in front of the palm tree" . Then it changed I was able to take my own pictures. I want to share some with you. They aren't professional grade work. Most important I had fun . Though the looks you get taking some of these lol I have always been fascinated by open air markets such as flea markets, farmers markets . Pike place is one of my favorites thrust between tourist trap stores . Is a thriving farmers market where locals do shop.The  creative energy that infects you there local artists are out in full forces selling there products. Street performers entertain you on every corner. It seems when you venture away from the market this feeling follows you. As you see a crumpet shop , record stores, spas , galleries all eager to relieve you of your tourist dollars. Even though I have been there a few times over the years. I still get swept up in it become the "tourist" .
