Its that time of year when we make the preparations to head to the spa , for the dreaded bikini wax . Most women go native for the winter . Im going to give you a couple of tips to help you get through your first or next waxing .You should use these in prep for any waxing be it to face , pits , legs or down there . Can't lie it hurts but this will make it a little better .
Menstral Cycle :
Avoid waxing a couple days before and during ,
Your skin is more sensitive and pain may be more intense.
Redness may stay a little longer .
Efoiliate :
Even Though exfoliation can help in the process doing it too soon before service can , burn and harm skin .
Only 24-hours before and after is recomended .
Cosmetics :
Try to remove all cosmetics when getting a facial wax
Trim :
Trim hair in bikini area to a quater of an inch prior . It helps the esthetician get clean lines .
Communicate :
Talk to your esthetician . somtimes a another type of wax such as a creme wax or hard wax with no strips may be less harsh to you
.Keeping an open line of communacation is key .
Discuss any skin sensitivity issues or contraindications .
Follow the after wax care .
Baby Oil :
Removes Most Wax . So if you are doing it your self , or find some stray wax after ( which is not acceptable and you should never ) If you do this can help.
Moisturizers :
After help calm your skin , I've found tea tree oil to be very good .
Time:
It dosent take very long . Breath and scream if you like , freak out the person ahead of you . No be nice but if you need too scream
NOTE : make sure the place you get , your service . Is up to date with state licences . Follows good sanitation.
The weather is getting nicer . Soon we will all be digging out our peep toe pumps. Winter was filled with winter socks and big boots. We are all human in other words if your heels are catching on the carpet and blankets give this a read .

Drink Water
Start Moisturizing your feet more often , before bed slather them down with aquaphor or a soothing pepermint lotion .after doing this put socks on keep them on all night if possible.
Clip your toenails and file them.
During Bath and Shower pumice Heels and rough spots
Soak them periodically and scrub with st ives apricot scrub. then rinse towel dry and moisturize.
Book your pedicure appt for the last wk of april or first wk of may. I say these dates beacause its prime peep toe time , wedding prom season usually start up about then .
Note : Im frugal though I believe one good pedi , can be a base of the season . You can maintian the work change your own polish . I do recomend going back in about two months for a spruce up. Make sure in the times in between your . Moisturizing your feet , if exposed to sun putting on some sun block . exfoiliate them at least once a week
Below The Mason Dixson Line - If the trees are starting to bud , weather is steady at 70 degrees most of the time . this is for you .
Book your Pedicure appointment ASAP. peep toe season is here in your part of the world .

Cheap Pedis
Look for Beauty Schools in your area that have a nail program. They are usually immaculate due to state regulations and preparing students for State board examinations.You can usually get a good deal and instructors are always near by in most cases .
Warning
Please use common sense , if you go into one of those store front nail salons . Look around is everything clean. Do they have there state licence on the wall . ( most states its manditory) . If things look not clean and unkept then walk out . You could get a staph infection or worse if you arent careful. Your not being a bitch when it comes to your health.

I had been at the office I worked in for 15 years . So I fell into a rut . The new place the women seem very polished and modern ? Can you give me some tips on how to intergrate , into my new work enviorment.

A: I can totally help you with this . I too make money and survive, eat (etc) as an admin assistant . I do makeup on the weekends for now.Im also starting a new job on monday . Since you have a month to prepare here are some tips that will help. One thing I will say is as much as we all like to stand out. When you enter a new enviorment , especially a corporate one . Looking similar to your co -workers helps you make a smoother transition . Think about when you were in your office. A new employee started you sized him or her up the minute they walked in. Key to remember is you got the job . You belong there in the first place . Being Confident is key over everything else.
Closet Inventory : If you have been on unemplouyment and things have been tight see what you have already. I recomend to pull the following items.
Black Dress Pants
Grey Dress Pants
Tan Dress Pants
Cardigan Sweaters ( light ones since it almost spring )
Basic Color Dresses / Cut to the knee or longer . ( no patterns yet , they can make you look dated)
White Button Down Shirt
Silk and Fine Cotton Shells .
Blk , gray , brown , blazers
shoes , belts etc
This is just a few key items that you can work with . There classics and basics that can be intergrated into new pieces .
What to buy .
Ready for some James Bond action ? I would just happen by there during lunch time . If its in city location , eat a a restuarant near by , even better some companies open up there food courts to the public eat there. Go to the places where the people from the company are likley to do errands . Just look at them . What are they wearing . Do you see a re ocurring theme or trend in accesories , shoes , etc. Seek out some of these pieces . It will help you see who your working with take a note book jot down a few things. While its fresh in your mind hit the shops. I recommend seeing whats around the area . Most people pick things up on there lunch hour or way home . If right of the bat you know who and what there wearing get cracking. Think of the pieces you already have and work them in. Dont go crazy just a couple of things to get you by the first week. After that you'll know from just being there .
Hair /brows / ladystash
Get a nice trim or clean up . Dont try anything crazy or new that you may get home and cry over . Just make sure that your hair looks neat , well groomed , roots and gray in check. Maybe some highlights and low lights to put a bounce in your step. Have them clean your brow up and get rid of the ladystash.
Makeup /Nails
Keep it clean . I always advise clients to stay away from color trends and wacky pallets , when they start a new job in a corporate enviorment go with a neutral eye trio , eyeliner stay with blk gray plum brown . mascara stay basic also . Lip color do a matte / with lip liner . Lip shade a couple hues darker than the natural lip. Blush try a peach or rose . You want to look well put together and groomed . As time goes on youll know if you can bust out the crazy eye pigments .
Nails
With so many great vibrate colors to choose from , You want to go with a french manicure , nude , or clear . berry , burgandy red . Though I do know that black is becoming mainstream. After your first week just by looking you'll know what is exceptable. I find in most very structured micro managed companies . Nails arent that regulated as long as there clean and neat . Scope it out first .
I trully think that my heart just dropped when I learned the news . All I could think of is that tear sheet that was in my teenage room and scences from Lost Boys in my head .Then I cried beacause he was one of my generation. I remember when River Phoenix died it was the first , person in our generation that stuck out. When someone young dies no matter what the cause of death is , you feel like it was pointless . More articles I read today said that he was doing well and the drug overdose was accidental.Upcomming movies were planned and he had moved back to LA. The road of addiction plagued him throughout his life I guess at times like this you reflect on your own life and mortality . Feeling blessed that you are here and well. My prayers and Love go out to his family , friends and fans . That we shall remember this sweet soul that came into our lives shared his gift with us . Made our childhood a better place , carring over those warm memories into adult life . May he be at peace .
I used to love award shows as a child. It was usually a night , I got to stay up late on a school night.I'd never make it through , remember we'd have special snacks and all that jazz. So tonight I stayed up late got a special snack and watched the oscars in my jammies . I can't say that there is a best and worst dressed . I think it takes guts to take risks . So people may have made mistakes. They win just in the fact they can go to the oscars . Id like to say it was a blessing to see so many shapes and sizes out there . There were curves and real women bodies .
I tweeted through the whole thing with my "no frills oscar coverage " Now I find myself very tired and dreading how fast my cell phone alarm will chime in . I havent in a long time allowed myself to get swept up in all the award show hype. I did get a little bit of that dreamy haze for part of the show. Allowing myself to kinda get swept up in movie magic. I think in a world where we know way too much about celebrities lives it was nice to experience the mystery. Somtimes when you reach a certian age you think, you arent allowed too have dreams any longer . Vampire Weekend is a band you may be hearing some , well derserved buzz about . This is one fantastik band that slipped by me. I got hooked i with the self titled 2008 debut album Vampire Weekend When I listen to a debut album that I fall in love with . Im a little shy about the sophore album.Contra , Seriously not wanting to hate it . So like trying a new food , ever so cautiously hit play . To my pleasant surprise loved every last bite .
